Special Guests

 Cassandra

Cassandra has focused her dance study and performance on the Egyptian Raks Sharqi and Middle Eastern folkloric dance since 1974. Her studies began in San Francisco with the legendary performer, Jamila Salimpour, and has continued through regualr research trips to the Middle East.  Cassandra began her career as a cabaret performer.  Since 1984, she has widened the scope of her artistic expression by presenting Middle Eastern Dance on the theater stage.  Cassandra is the founder and Artistic Director or Jawaahir Dance Company.  Cassandra's artistry, her presentations, her creativity, her precision, her passion, her technique, her authenticity, her dynamics - she is simply the best of this generation's contemporary dancers.  You owe it to yourself to take advantage of this opportunity to study with Cassandra.
